Export

Menu: Found in the DATA menu

Use the Export command to create files for use in:

Databases
Presentation graphics programs
Spreadsheet programs
Word processors

Export allows you to convert data into these formats (info shown in square brackets reflects the Export menu choice):

Microsoft Access [ACCESS]
Microsoft Excel [XLSX(OPENXML), ODBC(XLSX), XLS or XLS21]
Delimited text [DELIMITED] - requires user to specify field separator and optional text (string) delimiter. If either delimiter is missing, command defaults to comma as field separator and/or double quotes as text (string) delimiter.
Tab delimited text [DELIMITED (TAB)]
dBASE III PLUS [DBASE]
JSON [JSON]
XML [XML]
Plain text [PLAIN TEXT]
Windows clipboard for pasting into Windows applications [CLIPBOARD]
ODBC [ODBC]- export via ODBC drivers installed locally or on a selected and connected Arbutus Windows Server. This allows direct table exports to SQL-based ODBC drivers and relational databases (such as Oracle or SQL Server) provided the required ODBC drivers are installed and the user has appropriate access rights.

Note: The "APPEND" keyword is only available to Text and Delimited types as well ODBC exports.

Note: The "APPEND" option will automatically suppress inclusion of additional header information when exporting to Delimited files types (essentially only one header line will appear at the top of the delimited file).

Export allows you to use Analyzer as a data conversion tool, taking data from one package and producing an export file in a format readable by another package.
