A View is also the basis for a report. Although reports can have features not found in a View, they are always based on the source data displayed in an individual View. Analyzer lets you customize the look of the View to make it more useful as a report.
You can think of a View as a report in progress. As you proceed in your analysis, you can extract subsets of data for analysis, define filters to display only the relevant data, use expressions to create computed fields for comparison or analysis and finally customize the way the data is presented.
