Hiding/Unhiding Fields

Analyzer allows you to hide fields or columns so that they do not appear in the View or in any field selection dialogs. To hide or unhide a field, filter or computed field simply right click the field name in the Edit Fields/Expression tab of the Table Layout and choose Hide or Unhide. Alternatively you can double-click on the field to edit it, click on the Advanced button and then check or uncheck the Hide checkbox.

If a field already appears in an existing View, choosing Hide will not remove it from that View. The field would have to be manually removed at which point it could no longer be directly added back into the View via the Add Columns dialog until the Hide field attribute was de-selected.

Note: Although a field is flagged as hidden, it can still be referenced manually in the Expression builder, workspaces, procedures or on the command line.

Tip: Hiding fields/columns is particularly useful when using Arbutus ConnectPlus because you can limit end-user access to only relevant fields/columns.
