Creating a New Analyzer Project

To create a new Analyzer Project file:

1. Click the [Create a New Project] button or select File from the menu and choose New Project. Analyzer displays a Save New Project As dialog with options for naming and saving the Project.
2. Name the Project and specify folder location.
When creating a New Project from the File menu, you are prompted to create either a new Project file or both a new Project file and a new Project folder at the same level as the current folder. If you choose to create only a project file, the Project file is placed in the specified folder. If you choose to also create a new Project folder then the named Project file is automatically placed into this new Project folder using the same name as the new project file.
You can keep the project file in the same folder as the source data files. By default Analyzer saves any created data files in the project folder, though you can always specify another location.
Analyzer automatically appends the extension.ASI to the project file, indicating that it is an Analyzer Project.
3. Click [Save]. Analyzer displays a dialog asking how you would like to add a table.
4. To import an existing table layout click [Import].
5. To define a new table layout, Click [Define]. Analyzer launches the Data Definition Wizard. For information about defining data with the Wizard, see Defining Data with the Data Definition Wizard.
