Time-out Errors due to Inactivity

If the session is left idle for too long, the host system may end the Arbutus zSeries Server session and disconnect. The value to determine whether or not to terminate idle sessions and how long to wait before termination is set by the system administrator at the installation time. Because the session has been terminated, no message is sent to Analyzer. The default value for this kind of resource time-out is set by the system administrator and may be different on each server.

You will know this kind of time-out has occurred when you issue a command and the “Error Sending Command to Server YYYY“ message appears in the Server Activity log, where YYYY is the server name.
