Fields

When defining fields in Analyzer, you can use up to 127 characters for each field name. This enables you to use meaningful field names that you can easily recognize.

Field names may only contain numbers, letters or underscore characters and must start with either a letter or an underscore (_). Analyzer automatically replaces spaces and invalid characters with underscores. You can enter field names using both upper and lowercase letters. Any field names over 127 characters long are truncated.

Reserved Keywords

Analyzer reserves certain words for special purposes. Field names cannot be the first letter of or identical to, any of the reserved keywords listed in the table below. For example, a field name such as A is invalid as it conflicts with AS. REC conflicts with RECORD. On the other hand, ASK is fine as it cannot be confused with AS.
