You are here: A Quick Tour of Analyzer > Application Screen > Button bar

Button bar

The button bar provides quick access to commonly used commands and menu options.

Each button is linked to an option on an Analyzer menu and represents a specific task you can perform. When you click an icon on the button bar, Analyzer performs the same action as if the corresponding menu option or command had been selected.

To see the name of the command or action associated with the button, place the cursor over the button and leave it there until Analyzer displays its name in a tool tip.

Tip: If you cannot see any tool tips, select Tools from the menu and choose Options. Click the [Interface Options] tab and select the Show Tooltips preference.

The button bar automatically wraps to the next line when there is not enough room to display all the buttons on one line. When you resize the window, the buttons on the button bar automatically wrap to fit within the window.

For a description of what each of the buttons in the default button bar does, see Default Button Bar. You can add or delete buttons and change the order of buttons appearing on the button bar to suit your needs. See Customizing the Button Bar for details.
