Analyzer can access unconverted mainframe data by connecting to the Arbutus zSeries Server. The Arbutus zSeries Server provides direct access to mainframe legacy data.
Arbutus zSeries Server is configured to run as a server, providing direct access to data residing on the zSeries platform from the Analyzer interface. Data can be processed directly on the server. For more information, see Arbutus Enterprise Servers.
In addition, Arbutus’s proprietary “ConnectPlus” technology provides ODBC-compliant end user applications like MS Excel and Crystal Reports with instant SQL access, via ODBC, to virtually any legacy data on the Arbutus zSeries Server that the end user has the authorization to access.
