This option applies to reports based on multi-line Views. For information about multi-line Views, see Constructing Multi-line Report Views.
You can create more attractive reports by suppressing blank detail lines. This option helps to produce neater reports constructed from files that have blank fields.
For example, a file that lists customer information may have several lines for a street address, but one or more of them may be blank. The uneven number of blank lines may appear distracting in a report.Use the Suppress Blank Detail Lines to have Analyzer skip blank lines in printed reports. To use this option with a multi-line report, do the following:
1. | Right-click in the View and select “Print Report” to display the Report dialog. |
2. | Check the Suppress Blank Detail Lines checkbox so that blank detail lines will no longer appear in the report. |
