When you select a sampling method, you are determining the specific mechanism used to draw items for your sample.
Note: The term item refers to either a dollar or a record, depending on the sampling base selected.
Analyzers Sample command supports three basic sampling methods:
| Fixed interval sampling |
| Cell sampling |
| Random sampling |
In addition, you can use the Analyzer Sample command to select only a subset of the population to be sampled. For more information, see Conditional Sampling.
