The PCASCII field type is almost the same as the ASCII field type. You can use it when the data in a file is created by a DOS application or when the file includes foreign language characters. The PCASCII field type ensures that the foreign language characters are correctly interpreted.
The field type format is identical to the format of the ASCII field type.
