Duplicating a View

You can duplicate an existing View for a table. This is useful when you wanted to create different presentations of the data or to create more than one report for the data.

To duplicate an existing View:

1. Right-click on the View to be duplicated in the Overview and select “Duplicate”.
2. Analyzer displays a dialog informing you that the View has been duplicated.
3. Analyzer duplicates the selected View and renames it by numbering the View name to differentiate it (typically with a “2”). For example, if a View called “AR.avw” is duplicated, the duplicated View is named “AR2.avw”.

Note: The duplicated View is always associated with the original table layout.

To rename the duplicated View, see Renaming Views.

Alternatively, you can also click the File menu and choose Save As to duplicate the active View. The advantage of this method is that you are able to name the duplicated View directly without having to right-click and Rename the View after duplicating it.
