You are here: A Quick Tour of Analyzer > Copying and Pasting Cells from a View

Copying and Pasting Cells from a View

You can use the Edit menu or right-click menu to copy portions of data in a View. You cannot copy areas from a multi-line View and you cannot highlight the entire field (column) by highlighting the column header.

Copying Cells from a View

To copy data from a View, do the following:

1. Highlight the area of the data you want to copy.
2. Select Edit from the menu or right-click and choose Copy, or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+C. Analyzer copies the data into the clipboard of your computer.

Pasting Cells from a View

You can paste the copied data into an Analyzer text box, or into a different program.

1. Place the cursor in the text box or note
2. In Analyzer, select Edit from the menu and choose Paste or right-click and select Paste or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+V to place the data in the text box.

Note: The data you copy may be spaced differently when you paste it. To recover the previous text deletion, use the Undo command in the Edit menu or right-click menu or using CTRL+Z. In the Command Log you can only paste onto the command line.
